Meet Lizbet

My name is Lizbet, and I am the founder and facilitator behind Illusions & Paradoxes, a practice rooted in service to humanity, emotional integrity, and embodied self-knowledge

My path into this work was not linear or theoretical; it is lived. Like many who feel called to inner work, my journey began through my own unraveling.

In 2023, while working on Amazon’s Global Operations Leadership Development Team, I began noticing a powerful distinction between those who simply held positions of management and those who embodied leadership naturally. The most impactful leaders did more than direct others. They carried presence, emotional awareness, integrity, and the capacity to lead themselves first.

This realization became the beginning of my own hero’s journey. I began questioning long-held narratives, confronting emotional suppression, and witnessing firsthand how survival patterns had shaped my identity, relationships, leadership, and nervous system regulation. I recognized how much of my life had been influenced by unconscious patterns rather than fully conscious choices, and I set out on a path of self-discovery, healing, and embodied self-leadership.

This curiosity evolved into a deep devotion to understanding human behavior, not just why we do what we do, but how emotions live in the body, how the nervous system holds,  records and replays experiences, and how healing unfolds when we stop forcing ourselves to “fix” or bypass discomfort. 

Illusions & Paradoxes was born from a simple yet profound truth: we are often guided by illusions, many stories, identities, coping mechanisms, and beliefs formed long before we had the tools to question them. The paradox is that when we stop resisting these inner parts and meet them with presence, compassion, and curiosity, integration becomes possible. 

Freedom doesn’t come from erasing our shadows or pretending they don’t exist. It comes from understanding them, honoring them, and integrating them.
